While it failed to win an Oscar (losing to the now obscure Walt Disney Silly Symphonies short "The Country Cousin"), it still is seen as an influence to filmmakers like Ray Harryhausen, especially on his film The 7th Voyage of Sinbad. This iconic short, being a precursor even to Disney's Snow White, was extremely popular and was even billed along with the feature of the theater, above the main feature of the theater that played it, or even billed as the main feature of the theater itself. He starred in an impressive 232 note Discounting all the remake and clip show shorts, the number is "merely" 200 theatrical cartoons during The Golden Age of Animation, lasting from 1933 to 1957, his most noteworthy short being the first of the three two-reeler, 20 minute long, full-color Technicolor specials: specifically, " Popeye the Sailor Meets Sindbad the Sailor". Despite his sailor moniker, Popeye rarely ventured out to sea, instead spending his days romancing Olive Oyl and competing with Bluto for her affections. He made his animation debut in a 1933 Betty Boop short produced by Fleischer Studios, and continued appearing in cartoons throughout the 1940s and 1950s, when Famous Studios produced the series, and even continued on into several made-for-tv cartoons. Like the first volume, this is well-done lesbian content but minus the dramatic fireworks that would make it exciting entertainment.Originally a minor character in Thimble Theater, a newspaper comic strip drawn by Elzie Segar for King Features Syndicate, Popeye the Sailor quickly took over the series, edging out Ham Gravy as the principal suitor of Olive Oyl. She and Ryan head upstairs to a private room and hump in pleasant, undramatic fashion. Finale as frankly horny and manipulative India talking about a conquest Jessie (not shown, perhaps Jessie Andrews?) at the local committee headquarters to Ryan Keely. I suspect even binge watching the videos back to back wouldn't help much in terms of continuity. The problem with this scene is that it is not related directly to the title premise, but in fact requires prior knowledge of the first video in this series, in which Brooke & Maggie met through the website. Nica may have directed this one, but surely let the cast improvise. Michaels humps young Brooke Lee Adams segment, with accurate dialog like: "I just love those nipples!". Its content is pure cornball with improvised dialog like "Your skin is so soft" (perhaps the cheesiest line used in countless lesbian videos) and the obligatory product plug as Jayden watches a Girlfriends DVD of "Lesbians Uncovered" to learn about the lesbo life-style. Tall Cole is a find, very striking even when pitted in bed against Euro superstar Dark for a very satisfying sexual tryst. ![]() ![]() Chastity Lynn makes an effective cameo (nonsex) appearance as Angel Dark's step-daughter to intro Vignette #2, in which Dark makes moves on Lynn's best friend Jayden Cole. The fans cannot be left waiting with baited breath. Lauren predictably drops in to Heather's bedroom, lays hands very unsubtly on the girl and seduces her with amazing speed. ![]() No danger of that happening here, as she moves in with Lauren after renting an apartment but not being able to occupy it until fumigation (to remove pesky cockroaches) is completed. Her willing victim is the wonderful Heather Starlet, who I've seen in so many of these Sapphic videos that I was surprised to learn (via interview) that she prefers boy/girl scenes. Opening segment deals with a favorite of Nica's, Dyanna Lauren, magnificent as an unscrupulous landlady. Also, with a college co-ed accused of being an accomplice in the murder of a 13-year-old girl recently related to meet-ups arranged from social media, the series' premise takes on a much darker tone than intended in its cutesy approach (GIrlfriends' tag line on the DVD boxes reads: "Where prey is only a mouse click away"). ![]() Thornhill lesbians use the website netskirts to hook up with unsuspecting prey - it's part of a notion that fans enjoy, even though a corresponding plot gimmick in Gay porn regarding chicken hawks would probably be frowned upon (relevant since in recent years director Noelle has switched over to Gay videos). This review is based on NOT knowing that fact, which would undoubtedly have colored my judgment as a fan. I enjoyed this second volume of Girlfriends Films' social-media themed porn series, and was surprised to see in IMDb it credited to my favorite director Nica Noelle (not credited on screen or packaging).
